Workshop

About the Workshop

I have co-organized the annual Social Cost of Water Pollution Workshop since 2018. This initiative is a joint effort by Prof. David Keiser (UMass Amherst), Prof. Cathy Kling (Cornell), and Prof. Dan Phaneuf (University of Wisconsin–Madison), in collaboration with the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The workshop provides a platform for economists, policy experts, engineers, and other professionals to discuss Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs) for water quality.

Objectives

The event is designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and policy dialogue on water quality. Its primary goal is to build a research community focused on quantifying the social cost of water pollution with regional and temporal estimates.
